Greetings from the SDMRI Board

The 2017 mud race season is seven weeks away. The opener will be at Jerry and Jolene Buchholz raceway. Hope everyone is getting excited as much as the SDMRI Board. It’s going to be a good year. On the opening weekend, Mitchell Cystic Fibrosis is again doing their annual street event. We are not required to show our trucks. It would be good for SDMRI to be visible.

If you haven’t checked it out the race schedule and the updated rules have been posted on the website. It would be in your best interest to look and comply with the rules in your particular class. At the first race the tech people will be looking for compliance.

On a very serious note, AD SALES need to be in by April 15. The Board hopes everyone went out and sold some ads, as it is the lifeline for our sport. Get your information to John Tucek or Shawn Marquardt as soon as possible.

On an interesting note, the Corsica Fire Department has committed some money to increase the class payouts along with some other ideas.

SDMRI has again been invited to attend the Lincoln Lancaster County Fair race. The official date is August 12 at the fair grounds. Mr. E and EE are in charge on the announcing. It was a good time last year and we believe it will be again.
